No doubt, the people who see ‘The Passion’ will have a variety of mental and emotional and educational perspectives. Many will actually open their (or someone’s) Bible and peruse the four ’Gospels,’ checking the story for themselves. Therein lies the good news!     

For the pure and powerful Word of God can impact a soul when nothing else can.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12, KJV)

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”  ( 1 Pet. 1:23, KJV)

“”So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isa. 55:11, KJV)

One more important point we must remember: Satan fought hard to keep the Christ from laying down His life for the world. And he is still fighting against the purpose of that Eternal Sacrifice by which man can be brought back to God.

So we should pray for positive results out of a semi-negative scenario. After all, that’s exactly what the Lord Jesus Christ did. (See John 17)                                                                                     ~  JDM
