honored on Father's Day.  Fatherhood is a calling patterned after God Himself.  He chooses to be called our Father and expects the Christian male to follow His example of love, strength and leadership.  The demasculinization of the male species and the killing off of the masculine side of God is a dangerous and disturbing trend. The masculinity of men and the femininity of women is something all should encourage and foster, not attack and demean, for both are attributes of God and these God-given traits were created, not so men and women could compete against and detract from one another, but rather to complement and bring out the best from each gender.  That is why our Heavenly Father said at Creation that it is not good for the man to be alone and so He created a helpmate, thereby creating marriage and family, the environment He chose for mankind to bring up children in a Godly fashion.

Family disorganization contributes more to violent crime than any other social, cultural or economic factor.  William Galston, once an assistant to President Clinton, put the matter simply. To avoid poverty, do three things: finish high school, marry before having a child, and produce the child after you are 20 years old. Only 8% of people who do all three will be poor; of those who fail to do them, 79% will be poor." (from "The Family Way" by James Q. Wilson, The Wall Street Journal, Jan. 7, 2003).  Something Fathers can teach their children!  It is not likely that a child will find a Father in God unless he finds something of God in his father.

Eph 3:14-19, NKJV: “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,   15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height —  19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Happy Father’s Day Dads & Happy Father’s day to our Father who dwells in Heaven!
