become the sons of God, even to them that believe |insert> The Pastor’s Pen on his name:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Fa ther,) full of grace and truth. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. / . . . 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. . . 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. 35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! (KJV) As we approach the annual memorial of our Lord’s death let us not for a moment take lightly the incredible act of love and sacrifice from our Father who loves us so much that He sent His only beloved Son to die for our sins and from our Savior who loves us so much that He willingly and voluntarily suffered the crucifixion of shame and the agonizing death of the cross that we might have life everlasting! Let us take the sacraments of our Lord’s blood and body with prayerful, thoughtful, and thankful humility, praising God for our salvation! May the Grace of God Be With You in this Holy Season, Jeff Booth
